Send form responses where you need them
Send every response, with every field, to your email tool, your inbox, or another app.
When someone fills out a form on your page, PageSumo keeps the response in your dashboard and can also send it on: into your email tool, to your inbox, and to any other app. You set this once for every new page, and any page or site can do something different.
Send responses to your email tool
- Go to Settings and open the Integrations card.
- Click Add integration and pick your tool.
- Paste its API key. The form shows where to find that key inside the tool. ActiveCampaign also asks for your account's API URL.
- Pick the list new pages should send to, then click Send new pages here. For Kit you pick a tag or a sequence.
How to tell it worked: the tool shows a Connected status, and the Form responses card in Settings names the list.
From then on, every page you publish sends its responses to that list. Pages you already had keep whatever they were doing.
Every field goes along
Your email tool gets every field on the form, not just the name and email. Each one goes to the field with the same name in your tool. If there isn't one, PageSumo creates it.
To leave a field out on one page, open the page, then Page details, then Form responses. The fields are listed under the tool, each with a switch. A form that only asks for a name and an email has no list.
A page sends to one email tool. If you have more than one connected, Choose on the card lets you pick which.
If the card says some fields are Not being sent, PageSumo couldn't find them on the page's form. Click Send these too if they belong.
Get an email for each new response
This is off until you turn it on, and it works on every plan. Once it's on, you get one email for every new response, with everything the person typed.
To turn it on for one page, use the Email me each new response switch on that page's Form responses card. To turn it on for every page, use the same switch under Settings, then Form responses. A page that has its own switch keeps its own.
To stop them for a page, switch it off there, or use the Stop these emails for this page link at the bottom of any of those emails.
Send responses to another app with a webhook
A webhook is a web address another app gives you so it can receive things. Zapier, Make and most other tools have one, and a Google Sheet can too. Give PageSumo that address and every response goes there.
- Open the page, then Page details, then Form responses.
- Click Webhooks to open it.
- Paste the address the other app gave you and click Add. It has to start with
https://. - Click Send a test. A sample response from "Ada Lovelace" arrives in the other app, so you can finish setting it up there.
PageSumo emails you whenever an address is added, so nobody can add one without you knowing. Passwords and card numbers typed into a form are never kept or sent anywhere.
Give one page or site its own settings
Open the page, then Page details, then Form responses. Change anything and that page gets its own settings, starting from what it already does. Use my default puts it back.
A site has the same card on its Site details tab. It covers every page in the site unless a page has its own.
Supported email tools
Mailchimp, Kit, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Brevo, and EmailOctopus.
Common questions
What if my email tool goes down? Nothing is lost. PageSumo stores every response in your dashboard first and sends it on afterward, so a slow or unreachable tool never delays a visitor or drops a signup.
The integration says "Needs attention". The key stopped working. Disconnect and reconnect with a fresh one. Responses captured in the meantime are safe in your dashboard and can be exported to CSV.
Someone filled out the form again with different details. Does my email tool get the new ones? Yes. When the same person submits again from the same browser, their response updates in your dashboard and in your tool.
A response has a name but no email. Where does it go? It stays in your dashboard, reaches your inbox, and goes to any other app you added. Email tools need an address, so it is not sent there.
What happens if I disconnect a tool? Every page that was sending to it stops. Responses already sent stay in your tool, and PageSumo keeps its own copy of everything either way.
I only see the email switch on the card. Sending responses to an email tool or another app is a plan feature. The card says so when it isn't part of your current plan. Upgrading is in My account, then Plan and billing; see Upgrade, cancel, or change plans.
